as a volunteer i am in charge of making the patient feel comfortable. for example pushing their wheelchair, getting them a warm blanket, placing the admission bracelet on their wrist, having them sign in. Angela ParascandoShadowing PA’s is good but you should get hands on patient experience. EMT, emergency room volunteering, things like that.

davidpayne PA-EYes, volunteering in an urgent care will definitely help but you’ll be more competitive if you find a paid position that affords a higher level of patient care responsibility
